#Barcelona vs @manchesterunited tonight:
Manchester United face a stern test in the International Champions Cup as the third leg of Tour 2015, presented by Aon, pits the Reds against Treble-winning Barcelona in Santa Clara. The match at Levi's Stadium, the 68,500-capacity home of the San Francisco 49ers, is a sell-out and kicks off on Saturday at 13:00 PDT (21:00 BST).
Barcelona lifted the Champions League trophy for the third time in seven seasons when defeating Juventus 3-1 in Berlin last month, with the other two triumphs during that period both coming at the expense of United. Remarkably, for all their recent glory, Barça did not win Europe's biggest prize until 1992 when Ronald Koeman's free-kick overcame Sampdoria at Wembley.
Louis van Gaal's men are the ICC holders after beating Liverpool in last year's final and have posted victories in the opening two games against Club America (1-0) and San Jose Earthquakes (3-1). Barcelona are expected to pose a much stiffer challenge and Luis Enrique's team also have a 100 per cent record following a 2-1 success over LA Galaxy in their only ICC fixture to date. United can go top of the table with three points but PSG also play and are capable of overtaking the Reds with a more convincing victory over Chelsea.
Lionel Messi and Neymar are missing from the Spanish champions' squad, but ex-Liverpool striker Luis Suarez will be a familiar foe in attack. Former Red Gerard Pique is expected to feature in defence and new recruits Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal are available despite being ineligible for competitive action until January.
For United, David De Gea could return in goal after injury, while Antonio Valencia will also hope to prove his fitness. Marouane Fellaini and Sean Goss have yet to get any game-time on tour but van Gaal has a clearer idea of his plans and is ready to retain his starting line-up for the opening hour rather than making wholesale changes at the interval.
Andreas Pereira's fine form has thrust the exciting youngster into contention, while Chris Smalling, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Ander Herrera are others striving to break into the XI.
