Man Beats And Stabs Neighbor For Playing Loud Music

A 33-year-old unemployed, John Ena, charged with stabbing his neighbour with a bottle on her head for playing loud music, was on Wednesday arraigned in Lagos.

Ena, a resident of No. 13, Palace Road, Alagbado, Lagos, is being tried for breach of the peace and assault at an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Olatunde, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Aug. 2, at his residence.

He said that the accused unlawfully assaulted his neighbour, one Miss Elizabeth Okpaku, by stabbing her with a bottle on her head.

“The accused stabbed the complainant with a bottle on her head for playing loud music.’’

Olatunde said that the accused unlawfully entered the apartment of the complainant to stab and damage her property.

“The accused forcefully entered the complainant’s room and ordered her to reduce the volume of her DVD player, claiming that it was too loud and was

disturbing him in his room. “The complainant refused to comply, saying that the volume was not loud, so the accused forcefully stopped the music by throwing the DVD player outside and also damaged her generator set.

“He also descended on her by beating and stabbing her with a bottle.’’ The offences, Olatunde said, contravened Sections 166 and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Section 171 prescribes a three-year jail term as penalty for convicted offenders.

The accused pleaded innocence of the offences and was granted bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum.

The Magistrate, Mr Aka Bashorun, adjourned the case to Sept. 21, for mention.

45 Year Old Teacher Inserts His Penis Into The Anus Of A 14 Year Boy

A 45- year- old teacher , Akintobi Kayode, who allegedly put his sexual organ into the anus of a 14 -year -old deaf and dumb boy, was on Tuesday hauled up before an Ikeja Magistrates ’ Court.

The Magistrate, Mrs L .Y . Balogun, slammed on the accused a bail of N200 , 000 and with two sureties in like sum. Balogun said one of the sureties should either be a religious leader or a traditional leader .

The News Agency of Nigeria ( NAN) reports that Kayode, who resides at 8, Oladelu St. , Ogba in Ikeja , is standing trial on a two -count charge of rape and breach of peace .

The accused pleaded innocence of the offences .

Earlier, Prosecutor Jimah Iseghede told the court that the accused committed the offences sometime in May and July at his residence.

Iseghede said the accused after assaulting the boy, overpowered him before he had carnal knowledge of the boy.

“The boy, who is deaf and dumb , resides in the same neighbourhood with the accused.

“The accused always sends the boy on errands and on that day, he also sent him on an errand and lured him to his house and had carnal knowledge of him by penetrating his anus.

“Kayode took advantage of the boy because of his condition . Due to the pains he was experiencing he told his parents what the teacher had done to him , ’’ he said .

Sgt. Iseghede noted that the offences contravened Sections 166 and 258 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State , 2011 .

NAN also reports that Section 258 prescribes life imprisonment for rape or sexual assault by penetration .

The case has been adjourned till Sept.30 for mention.

Kanye West Announces He's Running for President in 2020 During VMAs 2015 Speech

Kanye West delivered a memorable — and totally bonkers — acceptance speech during the 2015 MTV VMAs on Sunday, Aug. 30, and capped it off with a bombshell declaration: his bid for presidency in 2020.

The “FourFiveSeconds” rapper, 38, took to the stage toward the end of the show to accept his Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award after a brief introduction from Taylor Swift, and used his time in the spotlight to let America have a piece of his mind.

“Bro, listen to the kids,” he kicked off his speech after a prolonged — and awkward — silence, during which he gazed out at the audience and smacked at his gum. West first thanked Swift, 25, for being “gracious” in presenting him with the award.

“I often think back to the first day that I met you,” West continued, reflecting on the infamous moment in 2009 when he stormed the stage during Swift’s acceptance speech. “You know, I think about it when I’m in the grocery store with my daughter and I have a really great conversation about fresh juice at the you know and at the end they say, ‘Oh you’re not that bad after all.’ And I think about it sometimes like when it crosses my mind when I go to a baseball game and 60,000 people boo me. It crosses my mind. Just a little bit.”

“And I think if I could do it all again, what would I have done?” he asked rhetorically. “Would I have worn a leather shirt? Would I have drank a half bottle of Hennessy and gave the rest to the audience? Y'all know you drank that bottle too."

"If I had a daughter at that time, would I have went onstage and grabbed the mic from someone else’s… You know, this arena, tomorrow, it’s going to be a completely different set up, Some concert or something like that. Congregation Chases Pastor from Church for Impregnating Member

There was commotion on Sunday at the United Methodist Church, Mafoluku, in the Oshodi area of Lagos as members of the church rejected their pastor and chased him away for allegedly impregnating his housemaid.

It was learnt that the pastor, Barkuma Andrew, was stopped from leading the church seven months ago when the housemaid, who was also a member of the church, Grace, had complications after aborting the pregnancy.

Andrew lives with his wife, children, wife’s cousin, Favour, and Grace in a three-bedroomed flat on the church premises.

PUNCH Metro gathered that the members had petitioned the Central Conference of the church in Taraba State to investigate the alleged atrocity. They, however, sought the service of another pastor three weeks ago when the district reportedly failed to probe Andrew.

Members had come to church around 10am for Sunday service only to see that Andrew and some “unknown” people had commenced the service.

It was gathered that the development resulted in a breach of the peace as Andrew and his group were chased out of the church.

Men from the Makinde Police Division, including the DPO, were said to have intervened after the incident was reported at the station.

A member of the church and a former secretary to Andrew, Moses Sherima, told Punch that the pastor sent his wife to her village when he impregnated Grace. He said:

“My room is opposite pastor’s apartment and I was his secretary. When he started dating that girl (Grace), I called his wife’s cousin, Favour, on the matter. She said Grace used to tell her whenever the pastor had sex with her. 

At a point, I had to move upstairs when I could no longer bear it. The day that abortion happened, I was sleeping inside my room when I heard Grace screaming. I rushed there and saw blood coming out from her private parts. When the wife came back from one of her numerous journeys, he told her to send Favour away.”

Another church member, John Komboroh, said the church was embarrassed by Andrew’s conduct, adding that they were tired of his leadership. He said:

 “The petition of adultery against the pastor had been sent to the bishop at the Central Conference. He came here, but did not do anything about it. That was why we wrote to the main body, the Southern Conference to give us another pastor. His (Andrew’s) action is an embarrassment to us. We don’t want him again.”

The new pastor of the church, Reverend James Sunday, said:

 “We were about to start our service this morning when we met the old pastor and some unknown people already holding the service. I calmed down my people to avoid chaos.”

Another resident and a female member, who identified herself only as Blessing, said the pastor had once made sexual advances to her.

“My husband is not always at home. The pastor would call me in the night and asked if I had slept. One day he entered my room and gave me a soft slap on my back. I had only the wrapper on me. I was surprised and told my neighbours.”

When contacted on the telephone around 1pm on Sunday, Andrew said he was in a meeting and promised to get back to Punch on the incident. He told PUNCH Metro that he was still at the meeting when he was called back around 5pm.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Patricia Amadin, had yet to reply to a message sent to her line as of press time.

UK Mirror reports: Chelsea footballer John Obi Mikel has secretly fathered two children with different women, it has emerged today. The 28-year-old midfielder is dad to a four-year-old son and a one-year-old daughter after short relationships with the women.

He is understood to have bought a £500,000 house in 2013 in the Home Counties for his son and mum and is keen to play a part in the boy's life.

A source told The Sun:

Landlord Burns Tenants 3 Year Old Son to Death in Ogun State

Detectives attached to the Ota division of the Ogun State police command has arrested one Mr. Joseph Olaleye, a-65-year-old landlord, for allegedly setting a-three year old boy of his tenant Abdulahi Razaq ablaze to death.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state , Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement said the suspect who lived in Olowosatide, Owode Ijako Ota in Ado Odo Otta Local Government Area of the state committed the crime on Monday around 1: pm.

According to Adejobi, the incident occurred when the suspect threw an ignited kerosene stove at the boy, who was a son to one Olalekan Razak, one of the tenants of the suspect, which caused severe injuries on the victim before he was rushed to a Hospital in otta where he was confirmed dead.

“The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali, who described the incident as unfortunate, has directed that the suspect be charged to court after investigation without any delay.

“The Police boss has however sympathised with the family of the late young boy and assured them, as well as Good people of Ogun state, of justice in the matter”, he said.

Mother Dies After Newborn Baby's Head is Left Inside Her Womb Following Child Delivery Horror

A MUM died after doctors decapitated her newborn baby and left its head inside her womb during delivery.

Geeta Devi, 32, passed away on Saturday night after going into labour.

After being admitted to hospital in the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India, Mrs Devi had her newborn baby's body pulled out of her while the head was left inside.

She was then abandoned and sent to another hospital where the baby's head was finally removed but doctors were unable to save her life.

"It is the fault of the doctors," said her husband Hemant.

"First they removed the body of my baby – leaving the head inside – and then they told us to take my wife to another hospital.

"They just left us.

"Eventually a local nursing home took my baby's head out if my wife but she died.

"They could not save her."

Deputy Superintendent of Shahjahanpur Police, Officer K G Yadav, 45, said the hospital was not equipped to deal with such a complex delivery.

He said: "The hospital didn't have sufficient medical arrangements and hence the mother was referred to another hospital.

"The doctors were not capable of handling this tragic situation and it is due to their negligence the infant's head was left inside the mother.

"The family doesn’t know the names of the doctors so we are currently looking for the doctors who were on duty at the time.

"An investigation has started and once the names of the doctors responsible come out, strict action will be taken."

The District Magistrate of Shahjahanpur, Shubhra Saxena, has confirmed the investigation into the horrific negligence.

She said: "It is a severe case of negligence and we are investigating the matter."

24 Year Old Man Jailed For Stealing $5 Worth Of Snacks Mysteriously Dies In Cell

A 24-year-old Virginia man is said to have died of “natural causes” after he was found dead in his jail cell early Wednesday morning.

Jamycheal Mitchell was arrested and jailed after allegedly stealing just $5.00 worth of Mountain Dew, Snickers and Zebra Cake from a local 7 Eleven back in April.

Mitchell, who family members say was bipolar and suffered from schizophrenia, was denied bail and charged with petty larceny and trespassing for the alleged theft.

While an autopsy is still pending, Master Jail Officer Natasha Perry says there weren’t any signs of injuries on Mitchell’s body and he appeared to have died of natural causes.

Family members suspect Mitchell may have starved to death.

The Guardian: “His body failed,” said Roxanne Adams, Mitchell’s aunt. “It is extraordinary. The person I saw deceased was not even the same person.” Adams, who is a registered nurse, said Mitchell had practically no muscle mass left by the time of his death.

In May, a judge ordered Mitchell to be sent to a mental hospital since he wasn’t competent enough to stand trial. However, the hospital said they had no vacancies.

The clerk said that typically in such cases “we do an order to restore the defendant to competence, send it to the hospital, and when the hospital has a bed, we do a transportation order, and he’s taken to the hospital.” Whitlow reiterated the order on 31 July and was due to review the case again on 4 September, according to the clerk.

But the hospital said it had no vacancy and the 24-year-old was therefore detained in jail until his death on 19 August, according to Adams, Mitchell’s aunt, who said she had tried to assist the hospitalisation process herself but was left frustrated.

“He was just deteriorating so fast,” she said. “I kept calling the jail, but they said they couldn’t transfer him because there were no available beds. So I called Eastern State, too, and people there said they didn’t know anything about the request or not having bed availability.”

When asked which state agency was ultimately responsible for ensuring Mitchell was transferred to the hospital, the court clerk said: “It’s hard to tell who’s responsible for it.”

Meanwhile, nobody can figure out why the hell Mitchell wasn’t given bail to begin with.

Ngozi Nwosu had a close shave with death few years ago and it took the prompt intervention of the Lagos State government to come to her rescue, footing the bills of her treatment abroad.

At a point, a magazine even reported that she was suffering from the deadly HIV/AIDS disease, but today, the actress is back on her feet, doing what she loves doing, putting smile on the faces of people through acting.

Ngozi, who spoke with Encomium magazine recently, said she wishes not to remember her sad experience because it was then she confirmed her true friends.

According to her, “I prefer not to talk about it. It is better imagined than discussed. When things happen to you, that is when you know who your friends are. That is when you know if there is God. 

“That is when you know people that want you dead. That is when you know people who will stand by you. I have been able to see all that. To God be the glory, great things He has done in my life. I will continue to thank Him. It has been awesome.”
