Woman 'Throws Baby Out of Seventh Floor Window To Hide Pregnancy From Boyfriend'

A WOMAN allegedly threw her baby out a seventh floor window because she didn't want her boyfriend to find out she was pregnant.

Shocked police found Jennifer Berry's newborn daughter with the umbilical cord still attached outside her boyfriend's apartment.
They raced to the scene in New York, US, after an emergency call reporting a tot falling from a window.

The baby died of blunt force injuries, according to chief medical examiner Dr Barbara Sampson.
The death has been ruled a murder and now Berry has been arrested.

She claimed she had given birth in the shower and the baby had not been breathing, sources revealed.
One witness said: "The baby looked like it was new, it was on the floor covered in blood.
"It was terrible. It hurt my heart."

The 33-year-old's boyfriend Giovanni Johnson told police he was in another room when the baby was born and when it plunged from the window.
He told investigators he had no idea his girlfriend had given birth – or that she was pregnant at all.
Johnson, 28, also told reporters: "I didn't know. I didn't know any of this. I've been cleared of all charges."

It is unclear how much time there was between the baby's birth and her fall from the window.
Berry is now being held in police custody.

Girl With Life-Threatening Skin Condition Bullied to The Brink of Commiting Suicide

A 22-YEAR-OLD, whose body is red-raw from a severe skin condition, was so badly trolled by cyber bullies that she considered taking her own life.

Mui Thomas suffers from harlequin itchyosis, meaning she sheds the same amount of skin overnight that most people do in a fortnight.
This leaves the brave young woman in agonising pain as her body is raw and prone to infection.
Abandoned at birth and taken to a hospital, her now parents Rog, 52, and Tina, 47, started to care for her when she was little over a year old.
But doctors warned that the prognosis for her condition was bleak, and she was unlikely to survive for much longer.

Rog said: "We had the constant threat that Mui might die hanging over our heads for years. Slowly, she rallied, becoming more robust and suffering with fewer fevers and infections.
"But then, when she was a teenager, she was tormented to the point where she contemplated suicide.
"After everything she'd been through, it was almost anonymous cyber bullies that killed her."

Rog, from Cardiff, Wales, and Tina, from Frankfurt, Germany, met on a filmset in Hong Kong and were married within five months.
After deciding to become weekend foster carers they met Mui – and the couple immediately fell in love.
"We didn't know anything about Mui's case before we met her. All we knew was that she looked different," said Tina.
"But we fell in love with her. There was no way we could have walked away and left her."

At first, Mui lived in hospital, staying with Rog and Tina at weekends.
When she was placed in a government institution that Rog labelled as "completely unsuitable" for her healthcare needs, the couple had a difficult choice to make.

"We could either go to Australia as planned and start our new lives, or we could give Mui a chance," said Rog.

"Doctors had warned us she would die soon. A lot of people said we should walk away, but we couldn't. We decided to become her parents."
At three years old, Mui was formally adopted by the couple.
Her life was far from easy and she was constantly bombarded with stares, comments and, on occasion, screams and points from strangers.

But it was when she reached high-school that the bullying became out of control.
She was met with a barrage of vile insults from anonymous cyber bullies. And worn down by their relentless abuse, Mui was driven to the brink of suicide.
Desperate to live as if she did not have a skin condition, she began to avoid treatment.
"I've blocked most of it out. It was an incredibly difficult time," said Mui. "The comments cut me to the bone. Ultimately, I wanted to commit suicide."
"Because I had no idea who was doing it and my tormentors were hiding behind a screen, I felt like I couldn't trust anyone. To an extent, not even my own parents," she added.

Eventually after ten harrowing months, the tormentors were revealed to be classmates of Mui's.
"One of the worst things was that Mui was getting this abuse delivered straight to her home, where she was supposed to feel safe," said Tina.
"Because they can't see the face to face reaction of the person they're bullying, they have no idea how much hurt they're causing.
"If our story can stop just one person from sending that nasty message or Tweet, then we will have done some good," she added.
Last month, the family delivered a talk about their experiences in a bid to raise awareness of the devastating impact the bullying can have.
Speaking on stage alongside her parents, Mui said: "When I was a child, I once said: 'Mummy, if there's one thing I want for Christmas, it's to have ordinary skin.
"All my life, I've wanted to be seen and treated as someone without my skin condition but as you can see I look a little bit different to most of you.
"When people see me for the first time, they're not sure of how to react because I don't fit into the norm. When people shout, scream or run away, I struggle with it.
"If someone asks me how I want people to react, I say I'd be happy with a simple hello. A smile would be nice too. But unfortunately, when people are in shock, that doesn't always work out.
"At least I have the love and support of my parents, and not everyone gets that."

One of the most challenging issues of harlequin itchyosis is that the skin does not have a barrier against germs, so Mui and other sufferers like her are left open to infection.
On top of this, her body has no temperature control and she cannot sweat, meaning dehydration is a prominent risk for her.
The oldest survivor of the debilitating condition is 31 years of age. At 22, Mui is the forth oldest person in the world with harlequin itchyosis.
To try and soothe the symptoms of her disorder, she must take daily two hour baths in an attempt to scrub off layers of dead skin and apply ointment routinely throughout the day.
But now Mui, who works as a rugby referee, has risen above the bullies and is thankful for the positive experiences her visible difference has brought her.
"I think that having a disorder has led to some pretty cool encounters. Who can say that they've met supermodel Kate Moss in her hotel suite, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair? I can," she said.
"Who can say that they've been flown across the world to California on an all-expenses paid trip to Disneyland? I can.
"So for all the bad encounters that I've experienced, there is always something positive."
Aside from the motivational talks the family have been delivering in schools, they have written a book charting their life story called The Girl Behind The Face.
They have set up a website as well as Facebook and Twitter accounts, all also titled The Girl Behind The Face.

34 Year Old Man Stabs His 74 Year Old Father And Removes His Heart

Residents of Abesan Estate in the Ipaja, Lagos were thrown into confusion after a 34 year old man, Nelson Oamen, stabbed his father, 74year old father, Ehiremen Oamen, to death, removed his heart and left with it after an altercation on Friday.

It was gathered that the father who was  a retiree was battling with stroke, and usually remained indoors.
His 34 year old son was said to be a drug addict and a no good lay about who lived off people.

According to eyewitnesses, at about 2pm on Friday, Nelson visited his father at his apartment and an argument ensued between the two. Nelson, who was suspected to be high on drugs, allegedly stabbed his father to death in his bedroom, and covered his body with a blanket.
Nelson’s younger sister, who did not want her name in print, discovered their father's body and raised the alarm after she discovered that there was a deep hole on the left side of his chest after he had been stabbed in several places.

The incident was then reported at the Ipaja Police Division.
Nelson's other sister who wanted to remain anonymous said:
“For about five years now, dad had been nursing a stroke, and he could not work again. So, he used to stay at home. Nelson did not have a stable location. He just came to the area on Friday.
“I was told that he came in through the window before committing the act. It was his younger sister, who has a shop in the area, and came in a few minutes later to change her clothes, who first observed bloodstains in the sitting room.
“She then traced the bloodstains to daddy’s room, and found out that he had been killed. We have not seen any sign of Nelson since then.”

A landlord in the area, Akeem Salau, who described the deceased as an easy-going man, said:
“The man has eight children. Nelson is the fourth child. The young man does not have any stable job. He also smokes and drinks heavily. He does not live here, but only comes once in a while.
“On that Friday, some people saw him in the afternoon. The people who saw him said he was unstable. He went into their house, and it was a few minutes later that they found the father dead. He fled immediately. When I went in to see the corpse, I observed that the old man was stabbed in several places. No one could have been so wicked except one was on drugs.”
Nelson is still at large and the Police are looking for him.

Man, 35, Hangs HimSelf Over N25,000 Bank Loan In Abuja

Residents of Kubwa, a satellite town in Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),on Tuesday were thrown into panic following the death of a 35-year-old father of two, Mr. Badejo Adeyinka, who had allegedly hung himself at his residence in Byazhin across.

It was gathered that until he committed suicide, the deceased was a shop owner at the Kubwa Village Market that deals in Okirika, second-hand clothes.
City News learnt that Badejo borrowed the sum of N150,000 from a microfinance bank in Kubwa, but his younger brother, Emmanuel Adeyinka had assisted in paying part of the borrowed money, leaving him with just N25,000 to complete the payment.

Emmanuel said things were not going well for his elder brother and was certain the debt was responsible for the brother committing suicide.

“We were very close siblings. He once jokingly told me that he would hang himself because of the pressure he was getting from the bank to return the borrowed money.

“But I always told him everything would be okay.
I never knew he meant his words. Maybe if I had known, I would have tried to stop him. I pray his soul rests in peace,” he added.

The deceased wife, Mrs. Grace Adeyinka said she noticed her husband’s body dangling inside theirnsitting room when she went to use the toilet in the morning and quickly brought him down and quickly rushed him to the emergency unit of the Kubwa General Hospital where he was declared dead.

“I woke up around 5a.m. to use the toilet and found out that the cloth I used to cover our five-year-old child was missing, and my husband too was not by my side. When I went to the living room, I discovered that it was the cloth he used to hang himself,” she said amidst tears.

When contacted, the head of accident and emergency unit of the hospital, Paul Olise, confirmed the incident adding that his remains have since been taken to the morgue.

Similarly, a police officer at the Kubwa police station, who craved for anonymity because he was not permitted to speak to the press, confirmed the incident.

Omotola Blasts Buhari, Ambode Over Death of Electrocuted UNILAG Student

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade, is not happy with the way both the states and Federal government handles matters especially when human lives are involved.
According to her, the current administration keeps clamouring for Change, yet they cannot exhibit what they have been preaching about.
The actress frowned at the how the Lagos State government and the Federal government have kept silent over the sudden death of a 300 level student of the Accounting department of the Lagos University.

Omotola got angry over the issues after about three days gone; the government were yet to release a statement on the matter which according to her is a sign of negligence and lack of respect for humanity.
In her words, “A Nigerian student is electrocuted and no statement from both state and federal government? Do Nigerian lives matter? How is there ‘change’ when this government can't show its people they are valued? Who do they work for? Cattles, Aliens? Negligence and lack of respect.”

Drone Strikes Kill British ISIS Terrorists Plotting to Kill Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles

British and U.S. drone strikes have killed three ISIS terrorists in Syria, who had plotted to kill Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles and hundreds of other British Citizens by detonating a bomb during U.K. V.J. (Victory in Japan) Day celebrations last month.

U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron revealed on Monday, Sept. 7, that the terrorists were in fact British jihadists who had traveled to Syria to plan the horrific attack.

"There was a terrorist directing murder on our streets and no other means to stop them,” Cameron said about the lethal drone attacks, which took place in August, and which constituted the first U.K. military action in the Syrian civil war, and the first U.K. drone attack on a British citizen.

Welsh-born Reyaad Khan, 21, and Ruhul Amin, from Aberdeen, Scotland, died last month in Raqqa, as a result of the U.K. drone attacks. A third British national, Junaid Hussain, 21 and from Birmingham, was killed in a separate air strike by U.S. forces.

The strike on Khan was "the first time in modern times that a British asset has been used to conduct a strike in a country where we're not involved in a war", Cameron confirmed.

"My first duty as prime minister is to keep the British people safe. This government does not for one moment take these decisions lightly,” he added. “But I am not prepared to stand here in the aftermath of a terrorist attack on our streets and have to explain to the House why I did not take the chance to prevent it when I could have done," he said.

Kris Jenner’s Sister Says She’s Putting On A Front, Really Embarrassed By Caitlyn Jenner

Kris Jenner may seem relatively cool with Caitlyn Jenner’s emergence as a woman, but behind the scenes she is apparently none-too-pleased about the new and improved ‘Cait.’ Kris’ sister, Karen Houghton, has come forward to let people know that even though Kris is doing her best to appear unbothered, Caitlyn’s transition has taken a toll and embarrassed her deeply. As she told Britain’s Heat Magazine:
“Of course we all love Caitlyn but I felt so bad for Kris, she was so hurt and is still coming to terms with it. Kris and Bruce had the happiest marriage. Kris doesn’t talk about it much because she finds it embarrassing – I think she’s hurt more than anything.

My sister is a genius at marketing so she’s very good at hiding her feelings.
Kris doesn’t want the world to think her life is falling apart. She talked to our mom about it a lot. I just ask her if she’s OK. I don’t want to upset her. I pray for her because it’s hard.”

Karen admits that the entire thing came as a shock to everyone, but as far as she’s concerned Bruce is still Bruce, and knowing how good a person he is, things will shake out in the end.
“This is something none of us dreamed would happen, but now only time will tell what happens next. To me he’ll always be Bruce, even his voice is still Bruce. We spent every Christmas, Easter and birthday with him and the family. He helped raise my daughter. He is a great man. We love Bruce so much. He did a very brave thing. If it makes him happy, then it’s good.”
You mean to tell us that Kris’ response to Caitlyn’s transition is all well-rehearsed spin??? We’re sooooo shocked.

Man Comes Home To Find Wife Naked in Bed With Her Own Father, Gets Stabbed By In-Law

A man in Oakland County was stabbed after he discovered his wife in bed with her own father. The 25-year-old victim came home to find his wife and his father-in-law lying naked in bed together.

He woke his father-in-law up, and the two got into an argument that continued outside. The older man, Henry Allen Michael of Detroit, then allegedly stabbed his son-in-law in the back with a knife and drove away in the victim’s vehicle.

The victim was taken to the hospital and treated for a non-life threatening stab wound that may have perforated his right lung.

As for the victim’s wife, she said that she did not know anything had happened until her husband woke her up. She and her father had been out drinking, and she said that she passed out when they returned home.
When she was questioned, she said that she had reason to believe she was sexually assaulted and was examined by hospital staff.

At the time of the stabbing, Michael was staying at the victim’s house after having been released from prison. He has since been arrested and is being held at the Oakland County Jail.

Buhari Tells Media To Stop Harassing Him, Saays He Declared Assets Four Times

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed  that he had declared his assets four times since 1975.

Speaking on Monday to journalists in Accra, Ghana, the Nigerian president said
“I recall that in 1975 when late Murtala Mohammed became the Head of State, we were lined up in the corridor – governors, ministers, members of the Supreme Military Council – and officials of the Ministry of Justice were brought and every individual was made to declare his assets.
“So right now, all heads of state and government, governors, ministers, permanent secretaries will have to declare their assets because it is a constitutional requirement.”

The President said it was a constitutional requirement that public officers declare their assets.“In Nigeria, it is a constitutional issue and that is why I am blaming you gentlemen of the press. If you really want to do investigative journalism, you don’t have to worry me at this stage; I have declared my assets four times. When I was governor in 1975, I declared. After being Minister of Petroleum and as a member of Supreme Military Council, I declared. When I was Head of State and now as a President, I also declared.
“I have declared my assets and all that I have four times, and you (the media) have the right to go and demand for my declaration. Instead, I am being harassed.”

Buhari Withdraws Diplomatic, Official Passports From Ex- Governors

The Nigerian Immigration Service has directed former Nigerian public office holders to immediately surrender official and diplomatic passports issued to them while they were in office.
The action, officials say, is based on the directive of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The categories of officials affected by the directive are former governors, former ministers, former senators, former members of the House of Representatives, and former members of state Houses of Assembly.

Others are former commissioners, former special advisers/special assistants, former chairmen/deputy chairmen of local government areas, all retired heads of parastatals and retired public servants.

“These categories of persons are hereby informed that these passports which were previously held by them have been revoked and should return them to the Nigeria Immigration Service Headquarters Sauka Abuja with immediate effect,” the Comptroller-General of the Immigration Service, Martin Abeshi, said in a statement Monday.
“Failure to comply with this directive will amount to an offence under the Immigration Act 2015. Such unauthorized possession will be impounded at our control posts on arrival or departure.”

The Federal Government had on August 24 directed the Immigration Service to retrieve all valid diplomatic and official passports from all persons not entitled to hold such documents.

“The attention of the Federal Government has been drawn to the fact that some Nigerians who are not entitled to hold diplomatic and official passports are in possession of these documents,” a statement by Yusuf Isiaka, the Director of Press, Federal Ministry of Interior, said at the time.

According to the statement, the measure was intended to protect and promote Nigeria’s integrity in the comity of nations in addition to ensuring law and order.

Ever Watched Online Porn YOU NEED to Read This - Popular PORN Site Takes Secret Photos of Its Users – Have You Been Snapped?

SMARTPHONE users warned after blackmail scam uses front-facing camera to catch them watching porn.

A shocking smartphone scam has been discovered that holds porn users to ransom.
Researchers at security firm Zscaler, have found a malicious porn app that gains access to the owners smartphone camera.
Adult Player appears to offer free pornography, but when the app is launched the front-facing camera snaps a secret picture of the user.
The owners smartphone then displays a lock screen with a message demanding $500 (£320) to release the device.
According to Zscaler, the lock screen was almost impossible to bypass leaving users no option but to pay the fee.

Speaking about the latest attack on a blog post, Zscaler confirmed: 'This ransomware acts as a porn app named "Adult Player" and lures victims who assume it is a pornographic video player.
'When the victim starts using it, the app silently takes a photo of the victim, which is then displayed on the ransomware screen, along with the ransom message.
'The app demands a ransom of 500 USD.'
One security expert said that ransomware was a lucrative and growing area of cybercrime.
And recent research has revealed that ransomware increased 127% since 2014.
Adult Player is an Android-based app that can be downloaded via adult websites – it's not available on Google Play or the Apple Store.
Zscaler recommend that anybody with Adult Player on their device should reboot their handset into "safe mode".
Smartphone users should also avoid downloading apps from unofficial websites and app stores.

Is This LOVE? Woman Steals Police Car with Husband Handcuffed in the Back Seat

Amber Watford, 28, allegedly slipped into the patrol car and drove off while the officer was engaged with a passing motorist, according to a police report.

Mirror reports that, authorities in Alaska found the car not far from where it was stolen in Big Lake.

Watford and husband Joshua, 38, were arrested the following day in a home about 45 miles north of Anchorage in Wasilla, the report said.

Joshua Watford had been first arrested for failure to appear at court-ordered, alcohol-related classes from a previous driving under the influence charge, State Trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters said.

It was not long after his arrest that Watford's wife made off with the patrol car and the couple remained at-large for about 30 hours.

Amber Watford now faces several charges including theft and hindering prosecution, troopers said on Friday.

Buhari’s First Semester Report Card by Etcetera

In this new article, Etcetera grades president Buhari mostly F9 for his 100 days in office. Read below...

We often use benchmarks as measures of progress. ‘How is your favourite football team doing at the beginning of this season?’ ‘How many words does your one-year-old son say in a minute?’ And, of course, there’s the time-honoured measure of how well a new president is doing after 100 days in office. In case you hadn’t heard, that benchmark is here for President Buhari.
You may feel it’s a little impertinent for me to issue a report card for President Buhari on his performance during his first 100 days in office. Yes, I’m not his teacher, and he’s not my student.

But what the heck? It’s a free country and everyone else is doing it. So here it goes:

Confidence:- Buhari has brought back confidence in governance. Especially in tough times, the confident presence of a leader begets confidence in those that he or she leads. With his steady demeanour, optimistic outlook and command, Buhari embodies confidence. The number of incompetent heads of parastatals he has sacked so far reflects that sentiment. The percentage of Nigerians who think the country is on the right track is up. Grade: A1.

Pace of Governance:– When the pressure is high, leaders need perspective. They need swift action. Buhari is working on so many things all by himself that it’s sometimes hard to keep track of all of them. He has too much on his plate. He should get into perspective and allow others do the job where he can’t. It won’t be a surprise to discover that the president is in charge of his travel itinerary, meeting schedule and other range of issues on his plate. He runs the risk of edging toward a burn out. Well, some argue that the president is keeping a pace that works for him. Grade: F9

Communications:– Effective leadership communication is outcome oriented and audience specific. President Buhari is clearly not an articulate communicator and he doesn’t do enough to shape his message to the audience. Hearing Mr. President pronounce APC leaves you lost and wondering if you heard him correctly. Maybe his media aides should have used this as an excuse to exonerate him from the hundred things he promised to have achieved before his first 100 days in office that has now capped him as a liar. Buhari’s tone of voice usually stays within a fairly narrow range. He could do better here. Grade: F9

Team Player: – There are two major factors on this distinction. The first is to get a great team in place. The second is to get your ego out of the way and allow the team to do their job. Buhari has stumbled here and most people will agree that his failure to appoint ministers in his first 100 days in office has been a setback to governance. Whether you agree with me or not, Buhari can’t be president and ministers all by himself. We need competent hands to man the various ministries. You cannot achieve a lot in three and half months without the support of a team. Good leaders are the keepers of the what, not the masters of the how. Assembling a strong team also helps in establishing an agenda. Buhari needs to realise that he’ll likely never have more momentum than he has now if he doesn’t put a team on the ground. Grade: F9

Accountability and Responsibility: President Buhari has done fairly well with the campaign for government officials to be held accountable for their actions or inactions. He has brought a sense of transparency and has taken some interesting first steps in promoting government accountability. I think this is an area where there is a lot more to do however. For instant, there hasn’t really been a clear explanation yet as to how he is going to tackle corruption and how the country will avoid being ripped apart by government officials in the years to come. Grade: C

Economy: – This has so far been one of the president’s worst subjects. He may be making a grave mistake focusing all his attention on recouping looted funds instead of providing the basic needs of the people. Never in history has this approach successfully led a country out of recession. This might lead to an unhappy ending, and more inflation. The continuous drop of the nation’s currency is stark reminder that we are still in the worst slump in 50 years. Grade: F9

National Security:- Nigerians are still not experiencing any sense of security. People are dying and getting maimed everyday on the streets by hoodlums and touts. Boko Haram insurgents are still using the yet to be found Chibok girls for their bombings. Armed robbers are having a field day carting away properties. The country is still not safe. Grade: F9.

Emeka Ike's Divorce Takes A Dramatic Turn As New Revelations Are Made

Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike is in the news again. This time, it is over his marriage with his entranged wife, Suzanne.

The matter is in court, and he is accusing Rev Chris Okotie of being behind his wife in the crisis, by hiring the services of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), for the purpose of destroying his home.

In a telephone interview with Saturday Sun on Thursday, Ike said, he has refused to make comments on the matter, because of the future of their four children.

“I have been saying, ‘no comments’ because I have taken time to see what could be saved about the marriage. Before now, I have maintained silence because I have to save the image and the future of my children. The problem of a divorce is not the pleasure of the man alone, it is also not the convenience of the woman alone, it is more of the children.
“I came from a home where my father and my mother lived together, and he never for one day beat her. I don’t want my children to be embarrassed, so I kept mute for over two years now. So, when people ask, I say nothing is happening; accepting everything to make somebody reasonable.

“You begin to ask questions, what is happening, and who is really interested in getting away with something evil in a decent society? I have not been doing anything illegal or illicit. The only issue has always been what I stand for; I am a firm man. I am a principled man. I build my life on the basis of integrity. So, when I say, ‘no’ people tend to say I’m stubborn. But nobody can say Emeka Ike threw somebody’s cup of garri away.

“For this matter, the court has justified my position by giving me judgment for the 13 prayers I made. It shows that I know what I was doing, I was acting on behalf of the system or the society and the court feels my position and said, ‘yes’, this is what it should be like. And when you see the judgment, you will say, ‘yes this is what it should be like.’
“Nobody should take advantage of that and put wrong information about me that I am beating my wife. What about my image? I worked for it all my life. Who is issuing the cheques, who is bringing out the money that is making this thing national news, who is that man putting money behind the press men?

“I sit in my house and I watch a television programme, where one presenter that should have known that the ethics of journalism is to be professional enough to call the second party did not even look at my side. The presenter and her panelist started calling me names. And that before God never happened. I felt caged in as a human being. Am I not locked-in by my profession? We are not mad people because we are entertainers.
“I have been begging because I want to save the image. And there is nothing more to say. Please, come back and take care of your children; somebody who used to look at their assignments when they come back from school; somebody who used to bathe them and get them ready for the next programme and work with the father, this is what we agreed. What is happening?

“You said you are not happy, you are having pain in your chest; I asked what do you want? She said she wanted to see a doctor. Let us go to the Medical Centre at Yaba. Let us go overseas to check everybody in the family. Let us go to Disney World to have fun to get back your grip in the marriage.
“People just get involved because it is a stout relationship, everybody gets involved. And if you have a very bad woman, sorry about that, there is nothing I can do about it. If a man’s wife could leave her house and begin to do all sorts of damage to his image, is that right in African context?

“And somebody will come and start saying Emeka Ike did this or not and he is called a bad man. Are there witnesses? Which neighbour will come and say yes? You don’t just wake up and say, constant abuses and then it goes viral, and a man begins to sponsor it; and every media house is reporting it as if it is big news, and that is a bad image battery.”
Saturday Sun investigation reveals that, early in the year, Emeka had dragged a young man to Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) alleging assault.
Emeka had alleged that the young man was having an affair with his wife and was also threatening to kill him. In the course of investigation, the young man was arrested.

At the police station during interrogation, Emeka kept repeating that his major concern is the safety of two of his kids who were still in the custody of the wife. He said that he wanted all his children to grow in his house in Abuja under the care of his mother who lives with him. He alleged that his wife, Suzanne, decided to walk out of the marriage. He claimed that he was still interested in the marriage which he alleged was in turmoil because of the bad attitude of his wife and her irresponsible friends.
Also indicted was an Indian woman who was the proprietor of Emeka’s school.

The Indian woman, who was also dragged into the matter, said that she was the one managing Emeka Ike’s school at Magodo, Lagos, before it was closed down last year.

According to her, when the problem started, Suzanne was forced to take shelter in Mowe in Ogun State. This was where she could get an affordable house and started her life all over again. It was in the process, that the accused man decided to assist her. She insisted that Emeka misunderstood the whole process.
Bitter at the situation, Suzanne said that it was a ploy to frustrate her so that Emeka can gain custody of their four kids. “I did everything possible to make our marriage work. He battered me at any little provocation. I had to stay at home as a full-time housewife just to ensure that our children do not lack parental care while he was always on the move because of his career. He threw me out of the house and left with two of our kids. I had no choice but to hold unto the last two who were still very small. I did all I could as a mother to provide for them.

Fake Female Medical Doctor Arrested In Abuja, Nigeria

The Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN), has arrested one Nwosu Angela Njide, an alleged fake female doctor with Rauz Hospital, Apo, Abuja.

According to reports, Njide who is in her 30’s, had worked as a doctor for years, using forged documents. On interrogation, she had confessed to have worked in different places, including the British American Tobacco (BAT) clinic, Ibadan, the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) and eventually in Rauz Hospital, Apo, Abuja before she was apprehended.

She claimed to have graduated from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) Medical College in 2005, adding that she had her houseman-ship programme at the teaching hospital in Nsukka.

The Head of Department of the Inspectorate Unit of the MDCN, Dr Henry Okwuokenye, who carried out the arrest, said the self-acclaimed doctor was asked series of questions but failed the very simple questions any medical student is expected to know.
“The fake doctor’s ordeal began more than a year ago when she went to Oyo State to register for her license to practice at the Ministry of Health under the Oyo State Director, Medical Services.

“Following the refusal of the Oyo State Ministry of Health to register her, she was said to have relocated to Abuja, and audaciously went on her own to the MDCN to register for her license,” Okwuokenye said.

“She came to the council to apply for a new folio number, unique to every practicing doctor in Nigeria, in attempt to get full registration.

“We checked and she was not on the list. She claimed to have graduated from UNN, but we went to verify and we discovered she lied. As at this time, she was on the run.”

Okwuokenye further noted that the impostor had been dodging arrest for more than one year now and the council had been on her tail.

Angela was reportedly arrested on the first day of her new job, which reports say was worth N280, 000 monthly, at a newly opened private hospital in Bwari Area Council in Abuja after her new employees demanded MDCN to verify its new staff doctors. The Ministry officials, however, became suspicious of her qualifications and undoubtedly verified the authenticity of her claims.

Okwuokenye disclosed that the Council, until a few days before her arrest, didn’t have the faintest idea she was working with Rauz Hospital, adding that it was a phantom interview the Council used as a quest to decoy her.

“She eventually fell victim to the bait at Dutse Alhaji in Bwari Municipal Council in FCT,” he added.
“Njide’s arrest makes her the first female fake doctor on the record of the MDCN,” Okwuokeny quipped, adding that “after her arrest, she was reportedly handed over to the police.”

I Raped My Daughter Only Six Times – Factory Worker

A 34-year-old factory worker, Mohammed Ahmed, on Wednesday said he raped his daughter six times.

Ahmed, who was paraded by officials of the Osun State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps said he started having sex with his 14-year-old daughter ( name withheld) in April,
2015.

The distraught primary five girl was not allowed to speak with PUNCH Metro.

Ahmed said:
“I have two wives. The first had left and she gave birth to three children. The second wife gave birth to two children before she died.
“This one is the first child of my first wife. I don’t know what came over me in April when I started having sex with my daughter.   I had sex with her only six times since April 2015.”
The Head, Public Relations and Protocol Unit of the NSCDC, Mr. Wale Folarin, said the command was alerted to the man’s act by one of his neighbours. Folarin said:
“The incident was reported to us by a neighbour, who said he used to hear the cry of the girl every night. The girl confessed that her father had been raping her.”

Nigerian Arrested With N1bn Cash In Niger

The police in neighbouring Niger Republic have arrested a Nigerian carrying 4.6m Euros (N1.05bn) in cash. The man was arrested at the Diori Hamani Airport in Niamey, the capital of Niger, en route Dubai in the United Arab Emirate.

The Nigerien police said they suspected that the man was fleeing with the money in order to avoid being caught by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been prosecuting an anti-corruption campaign since assumption of office on May 29.

They also expressed worry that there had been an upsurge in the number of Nigerians trafficking huge sums of money in cash through the neighbouring country.

The police in Niger are already working on the suspicion that the money traffickers have accomplices in the country.

The arrest of the Nigerian has been a big news item in the Nigerien newspapers and television stations.

Curiously the authorities here on Wednesday claimed ignorance of the money seizure in the neighbouring country though the Customs officers in Niger were already kicking against repatriating the cash to Nigeria.

A media report in Niger on Saturday said the National Union of Customs Officers at a press briefing “denounced the request of the Nigerian authorities” to return the seized money.

The Customs official said there had been several similar seizures in Niamey from people trafficking money from Nigeria, putting the amount that had been so seized in several billions of naira.

They said the seized money had been mainly in dollars, euros and pounds sterling, asking the Niger authorities to allow the Customs officials to do their job without interference.

When contacted, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, said he could not speak on the development because his brief was to speak for the President.

He therefore referred one of our correspondents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“I speak for the President. On this kind of issues, I will advice that you speak with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” he said.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the officials denied knowledge of the seizure in Niger Republic. The ministry’s spokesperson, Ogbole Ahmedu-Ode, said the ministry had not received official communication on the arrest of any Nigerian.

“I am hearing about this incident for the first time from you, we have not received any communication on the matter from any quarters,” he said over the telephone.

Calls to the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Emeka Obua, did not elicit any response.

He also did not respond to text messages to his mobile telephone on the issue.

The Nigerien embassy in Abuja could not be reached for comment on Wednesday as calls to the mission’s phone lines failed to connect.

The spokesman for the Nigerian Customs Service, Mr Wale Adeniyi could not be reached for comments as text message and repeated calls made to his mobile line were not replied as of the time (8.30pm) of filling this report.

But a senior official of the Service told one of our correspondents in confidence that the issue had yet to be brought to the attention of the agency.

The official said since the matter was a diplomatic issue, there were protocols that must be adhered to before the customs could step in.

The official said, “As we speak now, the matter hasn’t been drawn to our attention. This is a diplomatic matter that has to be treated with caution in order to avoid diplomatic row between both countries.

“The identity of the person in question has not been established and it is the Nigerian embassy in Niger that would verify that.

“After that is done, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will be notified before other security agencies would be invited on the matter.
“So, it is not something that the Customs will jump into and start investigating because the Customs in Niger don’t report directly to us in Nigeria.”

Woman Burns Herself Alive After Refusing To Marry Islamic State Jihadi in Iraq

A WOMAN burned herself to death after refusing to marry an ISIS leader who played a part in her husband's murder, it is claimed.

Sources in Iraq report that a widow killed herself to avoid marrying an ISIS leader in the Saladin region of the country.
"A widow in the third decade of her life inhabiting a village in the Chinese Region in northern Salahuddin committed suicide at dawn, inside her home, after burning herself on the back of her refusal to marry an Arab ISIS leader," a source said.
"The widow's rejection to marry the ISIS leader came because of his participation in the murder of her husband four months ago under the pretext of cooperation with the security forces and leaking information about the organisation sites."

The shocking claims, revealed by IraqiNews.com, show the horror facing women living under Islamic State rule in Iraq and Syria.

ISIS believe they are entitled to enslave female captives.
An escaped Yazidi slave recently described how her captors forced her to drink mice-infested water.
Jinan, 18, who escaped the grasp of evil ISIS described how she was chained up and left for hours in the scorching heat.
She also detailed how the blood-thirsty extremists took drugs as they brutally tortured the women.
She said: "These men are not human. They only think of death. They take drugs constantly.
"They seek vengeance against everyone. They say that one day Islamic State will rule over the whole world."

The sick terror group has told its depraved members the Koran "condones and encourages" attacking non-Muslim women.
Around 5,000 women and girls were abducted by the savage regime last year.
A 12-year-old rape victim recently described how an ISIS fighter repeatedly raped her to bring him closer to God.
She said: "I kept telling him it hurts - please stop.
"He told me that according to Islam he is allowed to rape an unbeliever.
"He said that by raping me, he is drawing closer to God."
It recently emerged that ISIS' leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi repeatedly raped US aid worker Kayla Mueller prior to her death.

"We Found Stockpiles Of Dollars, Not Arms In Akwa Ibom Govt. House” — Official

A top official of the State Security Service familiar with the SSS’ raid of the Akwa Ibom Government House has told PREMIUM TIMESn the Service found no arms and ammunition in the complex, but stumbled on “shocking stockpiles of U.S. dollars”.

The State Security Service (SSS) had on Thursday raided the Hilltop Mansion in a joint operation carried out by operatives from the agency’s headquarters in Abuja and a detachment from the Akwa Ibom State Command of the Service.

Some operatives had earlier told this newspaper they found arms and ammunition in one of the rooms in the complex.

But another top official of the Service said Friday night the claim by his colleagues was an exaggeration. He requested not to be named because he was not authorised to speak on the matter.

“Our men went there expecting weaponry but we didn’t find arms,” he said. “Instead, we stumbled on a room filled with stockpiles of dollars.”
The official said the SSS team however left the dollars untouched for fear of the “political backlash that might result if we evacuate it. They had no instruction to evacuate it”.

One of our sources had earlier said the operatives initially wanted to evacuate the dollar notes but received instructions from their superiors in Abuja to let the notes be.

The secret police was said to have stormed the Hilltop Mansion based on security reports that suggested arms and ammunition were stored in a room there.

After ransacking the entire residence of the governor, which is yet to be occupied by the serving Governor, Udom Emmanuel, the operatives moved to guest houses and the presidential lodge, said to be currently in use by ex-Governor Godswill Akpabio.

It was in one of the guest houses within the expansive complex, the source said, that the dollars were found locked up in a room.

The SSS could not be immediately reached to officially comment on the operation. The agency does not have a known spokesperson that could be reached for comments.

And its Director General, Lawal Daura, did not answer or return multiple calls to his telephone.
The raid has attracted harsh reactions from the leadership of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

The Acting Chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, while hosting Bayelsa State governor, Seriake Dickson, in his office Friday, described the raid as a civilian coup d’état.

Mr. Secondus said the action is part of the strategy of the ruling All Progressives Congress, and the Muhammadu Buhari-led government to forcefully take some states won by the opposition PDP.

On his part, the Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, demanded immediate sack of the Director General of the SSS, Lawal Daura, who he accused of being behind the operation.

Cultists Bury Motorist Alive in Lagos

A war is brewing in the Mushin area of Lagos State after some suspected cultists dragged a motorist out of a commercial bus and buried him alive.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the yet-to-be-identified victim was on his way to the Oyingbo area of the state. He was said to have been dragged out of the bus at the Total bus stop in the Mushin end of the Ikorodu Road.

A witness, Jacob Amos, said the incident happened around 8pm on Wednesday, adding that policemen from the Alakara Police Division were alerted.
He said,
“The man was in the bus when he was dragged out at Total bus stop. They brought him into Mushin and I immediately alerted the policemen from Alakara.

“The police went to Adewusi Street, and searched the place for more than one hour, but they did not find anything. They patrolled the place and when they did not see anything, they left.
“Around 10pm when everybody had gone home, they brought the man to the Railway Line and push him from head down into a filled canal. Only his leg was sticking out.”
The victim was said to have died soon afterwards. Our correspondent learnt that policemen from Alakara later arrived on Thursday to remove the corpse.
A witness, who did not identify himself, said the police ordered him to pull out the corpse from the murky water.

Friends of the deceased from Market Street, Oyingbo, were said to have shown up to identify him.

A resident lamented that the police in the area, were not doing enough to arrest the unrest in Mushin, lamenting that there were saboteurs in the force.
He said it was the second time in a week that people from the Oyingbo area would be hounded and killed in Mushin, which could start a war between the two communities.
He said,
“The police in this area have been compromised. When we called them yesterday that someone had been captured around Oyewusi Street, an informant of the cultists whom we suspect work with the police, quickly alerted the guys and they left the place.

“They brought the victim to our side to make it look as if we are responsible for his death. Their plan is to set the Oyingbo boys against us and trigger a war.”
Residents of the area alleged that the increased killing of suspected cult members from Oyingbo was orchestrated by one Rilwan, aka Itakun.
Other men said to be in the group are White, Ese Chicago, Ina, Anarchy and Riliwanu.
The source said Itakun had his family house in Oyingbo and left the area due to persecution by some suspected cultists.
He said, “After he left, he started living in Mushin with a gang member. Later, he decided to start paying back those he perceived as the leaders of the gang in Oyingbo.
“Last week, he invited one Tunde Eleto to Mushin and the man was stabbed and shot dead by his squad,” he added.
However, another resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, denied that anyone was killed in the community.
He said, “There is nothing like that. Nobody was killed on the Railway Line or anywhere for that matter.”

Tinubu, APC Has Given The North The Power To Enslave Nigeria – Okunrounmu

An Afenifere chieftain and chairman of the defunct presidential advisory committee on National Conference, Senator Femi Okunrounmu has said that President Muhammadu Buhari tricked Bola Amhed Tinubu to get South West votes to office.

In an interview with Punch, he said the story of Tinubu could be likened to that of Afonja of Ilorin in 1817.

“Ilorin used to be under the Oyo Empire and was the headquarters of an Oyo General, Afonja. But Afonja rebelled against the empire and helped bring about its collapse with the assistance of the Fulani. Afonja was assisted by Shehu Alimi, who was a Fulani leader. In 1824 Afonja was assassinated and Alimi’s son became Emir and Ilorin became an emirate of the Sokoto Caliphate

“It was naive of Tinubu to think that Buhari would just get power and he (Tinubu) would become the kingmaker of Nigeria. That is what Tinubu expected and that was why we kept reminding him of the Ilorin episode. We told him that once Buhari got power, he would turn around and just forget about him and implement a northern hegemonic agenda which Buhari is doing now.

“In 1960, the Sardauna of Sokoto, Ahmadu Bello, made a statement publicly that the northerners should regard Nigeria as their conquered territory and that they own Nigeria. He said the entire South-West and South-East should be regarded as conquered territory and that the North should never allow the South to govern. This statement was widely reported in the media. It was in the West African Pilot of October 12, 1960. The quote was boldly published.

“So, the keys to the chains of slavery we thought we could use to break free were just given back to the North by the APC. The APC became an agent of oppression and enslavement. We can all see that Buhari only tricked Tinubu to get power back to the North.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Kehinde Olatunde, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Aug. 2, at his residence.

He said that the accused unlawfully assaulted his neighbour, one Miss Elizabeth Okpaku, by stabbing her with a bottle on her head.

“The accused stabbed the complainant with a bottle on her head for playing loud music.’’

Olatunde said that the accused unlawfully entered the apartment of the complainant to stab and damage her property.

“The accused forcefully entered the complainant’s room and ordered her to reduce the volume of her DVD player, claiming that it was too loud and was

disturbing him in his room. “The complainant refused to comply, saying that the volume was not loud, so the accused forcefully stopped the music by throwing the DVD player outside and also damaged her generator set.

“He also descended on her by beating and stabbing her with a bottle.’’ The offences, Olatunde said, contravened Sections 166 and 171 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
