Nigerian Man Arrested In Iceland For Infecting Women With HIV

For this report of an African asylum seeker infecting women in Iceland with HIV, the English Language Iceland Monitor uses the the traditional “Man Arrested” style, but says the accused is of “foreign extraction”. (You can’t tell what race he is, because the police have put a blanket over his head, below.)

Police have arrested a man, said to be of foreign extraction, on suspicion of deliberately infecting young women in Iceland with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

Police are currently investigating the case, particularly as regards whether or not more women may have been in contact with the man and also been infected.

No details have yet been released on how the women involved were infected. The most usual channels of HIV infection are sexual intercourse and sharing syringes and needles.

There’s also an Icelandic language story: Grunaður um að smita konur af HIV, RUV.is, July 23, 2015.A Google Translate of that is is headed, correcting some automated language translation, “Suspected of infecting women with HIV.” and says he’s a Nigerian asylum seeker who arrived in Iceland last August. No word about the race of the victims.

Nick Gordon begs Bobby Brown-Let me attend Bobbi Kristina's Funeral

Nick Gordon desperately wants to attend Bobbi Kristina's funeral Saturday ... so he sent Bobby Brown an email begging him for his blessing.

According to the email, which we've seen, Nick says, "I loved Krissi with all my heart and I am destroyed that she is gone and I need to say goodbye."
Nick realizes he's on the outs with the family as cops continue their homicide investigation with him in their crosshairs.
Nick, who included Pat Houston in his email because she's arranging the funeral, goes on, "I'm begging you both to please put your differences aside and allow me this chance."

And there's a dash of guilt laced in the email ... "Krissi loved me very much and she would want me there."
Nick was persona non grata the entire time Bobbi Kristina was hospitalized, with most members of both families blaming Gordon for BK's death.

The irony shouldn't be lost on Bobby Brown ... he was blamed by Whitney Houston's family for her death and even left her funeral early after a disagreement over seating.

NDLEA Arrest China Bound Man With 1.185kg Drugs at Lagos Airport

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has arrested a 44-year-old man, Chide Chibude, for attempting to smuggle 1.185kg of cocaine to China.

This is contained in a statement issued by Mitchell Ofoyeju, Head, Public Affairs, NDLEA, on Wednesday in Lagos.

Mr. Ofoyeju said Mr. Chibude was arrested by NDLEA officers at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
He said the arrest was effected while the suspect was attempting to board a Qatar Airways flight to China where drug trafficking is punishable by death.

According to the statement, the suspect ingested 1.185kg of whitish substances that tested positive to cocaine.
“We discovered from our investigation that the suspect sold his property in Enugu and invested the proceeds in drug trafficking due to wrong counsel from friends.

“He was apprehended during outward screening of passengers on Qatar flight. The cocaine found on him weighed 1.185kg,” he said.
Mr. Ofoyeju said the NDLEA Chairman, Ahmadu Giade, described drug trafficking as criminal and warned that those who seek wealth from criminality shall end up in prisons.

“NDLEA is combating drug trafficking with every resource at its disposal. Drug trafficking is criminal and the gains of a drug-free society is priceless.
“The lesson to be learnt from this case is that those who seek quick wealth from drug trafficking will end up in prison custody,” Mr. Ofoyeju quoted Mr. Giade as saying.
“The suspect’s case was particularly instructive because he invested N2 million in drug trafficking which would have led to his untimely death if he was caught in China,” Mr. Ofoyeju said.
Confessing to the crime, the suspect who hails from Enugu State, said he invested N2 million in drug trafficking because he wanted to earn N4 million profit in return.
“I am married with a child. I used to sell clothes and my business was flourishing in 2007. My problem started in 2008 such that I lost all my three big shops.
“I see it as a spiritual attack because I lost everything I had laboured to acquire over the years. I sold the only property I have in Enugu with the hope of relocating to Lagos.
“Unfortunately, I listened to wrong advice and invested my last savings in cocaine business. They assured me that I could earn twice the amount I invested in the deal but I am regretting my action,” the suspect said.

He said he was unaware that drug trafficking attracted capital punishment in China, adding that he was only thinking about the profit he would have made from the trip.
The suspect would soon be charged to court.

This Picture is NOT What You Think It Is

DOES this picture look rude to you?

This misleading image might be the funniest viral snap of all time.
At first glance you might think it looks like a penis hanging out the bottom of a woman's dress, but when you click on the image it's much more innocent.
The viral snap was posted by MonogamousMindy with the caption: "There's really nothing quite so sweet as tiny little baby feet".

We're not sure if they noticed the strange illusion at the time, but thousands of Reddit users certainly have.
"Totally thought that was a penis on the thumbnail, which raises the question why did I click on this," said Shadowfigure.

Another user DreamDemon, said: "Before for I clicked this I thought it was some chicks dong hanging out."
While DefinitionOfHappiness, said: "I had to do a second take. I seriously thought it was his penis until I saw the babies head."

The snap, which has been viewed more than three million since it was posted five days ago, is actually just a sleeping woman with a baby on her stomach.
And what looked like a schlong is just a tiny pair of baby's feet.
However the trick faired too much for some Reddit users.
"I still not convinced it's NOT a penis," said zWERG.
While another simply said: "OH..OH..THOSE ARE FEET."

Residents Discover Shallow Grave of New Born Baby in Benin

Father Takes a Photo of Himself With His Son for 26 Years (With a Surprise At the End)

Parents often say that children grow up in the blink of an eye.

Luckily this dad thought of an adorable way to document his son growing from a little boy into a strapping young man that takes at least 26 blinks to get through.

Starting in 1987 when the boy was a wide-eyed baby, the dad took one black-and-white photo each year with his offspring.

The shirtless theme continued throughout the years as the boy gets taller and taller while the dad progressive through the stages of middle-age (including getting his very own ‘dadbod‘ – yay!).

However as we cycle through the photos a sense of foreboding creeps up on us.
Will the last photo be of the boy alone, his father having passed away?
Nope, we get this happy image of an expanded family:

You can view the whole album on Imgur, however the identities of the men featured in the pictures are unknown.

Graphic Content: Man Butchers Friend in Akwa Ibom

Residents of Itu Road, Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, on Wednesday, woke to a horror sight, following the murder of a middle-aged barber by a close family friend who was supposedly his boss.

Steven Onowa, a graduate of Federal Polytechnic Oko, from Anambra State, was arrested by men of the Akwa Ibom State police command over the murder of Daniel Bassey Solomon, his close friend and employee.

It was gathered that Onowa, who tried to escape after allegedly killing his friend and dismembering him, was arrested with the aid of a GSM tracking device employed by officers and men of the Police Force.

Explaining the incident which led to the gruesome murder of the said barber, who hailed from Uruan Local Government Area, the state Police Commissioner, Mr Gabriel Achong, said the culprit confessed to have invited his friend to his house and offered him a drink he had already poisoned.
Steven said:
“At about 3.00 a.m, I decided to kill him.
“I gave him the first cut, the guy got up; I gave him a second one and he died and I butchered him to parts,” the suspect confessed.

The commissioner, who confirmed that a quarrel had been on for the past two years between the ‘butcher’ and his victim,  even as their case file was still with the SARS department of the command, said the police were successful in tracking down the culprit through the assistance of his landlord, who kept contacting him on phone, as the police kept tracking the calls.
“After stabbing him to death, he used matchet to chop off his hands, head and two legs. He packed the parts in a sack, pulled it out of the house to the major street of Itu Road.”
Apparently tired of evacuating the corpse to a safer place, he was said to have abandoned the deceased in a bag, removed the vital parts, including his two hands, which he dumped in a place along School Road and the head, which he hid in an abandoned dump site on the same Itu Road.

The suspect, who confessed to the crime, said he had called his victim on phone for an urgent meeting in his house, where he drugged his Orijin beer.

According to him, when the late Dan arrived, his killer entertained him with the drugged beer and it was not long before the deceased dosed off, giving his killer the opportunity to tie him, before stabbing him to death.

The suspect’s landlord, Mr Celestine George, who spoke to journalists at the police headquarters, Ikot Akpan Abia, said the police was called after the incident was reported and he had to put a call to the suspect and demanded for the balance of his rent.
“The suspect said he was about travelling and that he was with the balance which he would pay me before travelling. I then asked him to meet me at Itam junction, within the premises of a church where I had already told the SARS men to lay ambush for him.
“I kept calling him until he arrived at the premises of the church where I tricked him to. He came in a car with three armed mobile policemen and I hinted the men of the SARS formation, who had laid ambush for him within the premises and he was apprehended and handcuffed.
“The three mobile policemen were eventually overpowered by the SARS men and the suspect was arrested and taken to the police headquarters at Ikot Akpanabia,” he said.

What annoyed the angry residents of Itu Road the most, according to a neighbour, “is the fact that the suspect, apart from being a close friend of the deceased, was also having an affair with one of the late Dan’s sisters.”

He disclosed that such close relationship led to the suspect opening a barbing salon for his victim along Urua Ekpa Road.

When interrogated by newsmen, Onowa claimed to have killed his victim for daring to raise his voice at him over his N750,000 he had refused to account for.
He said:
“We reported the matter to SARS about two years ago and he agreed on a timeframe to pay up the N750,000. Till today, he has refused to pay the money, so when I invited him to my house that day, he started shouting at and getting angry with me, so I killed him. I am not dealing in body parts. I only cut him to pieces to be able to carry him,” the suspect added.

Ooni of Ife, Oba Sijuwade, dies at 85

THE Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade, age 85 years and seven months reportedly passed on Tuesday . He was born on January 1, 1930.

According to Punch unconfirmed sources said the monarch, who was said to have been flown out of the country since last Friday, died in the United Kingdom.

Most top Ife indigenes and Osun State government officials contacted by The PUNCH late on Tuesday kept sealed lips but some traditional rulers in the state confirmed that Sijuwade had died.

The spokesperson for the Ooni, Chief Funmilola Olorunnisola, told one of our correspondents that, “I don’t have anything to tell you immediately.”

One Osun traditional ruler, who asked not to be quoted, confided in one of our correspondents on the phone last night that the Ife monarch had died.

He said, “The Ooni is dead. It is true. He died about two hours ago in the UK. His two oloris (wives) – Olori Moni and Olori Odun – were with him in the UK.

“He travelled out for treatment anytime he fell ill but he couldn’t make it this time. It is sad but I believe it is God’s time. There was nothing anyone could do to stop it.

“Tokunbo, his eldest child, will probably leave for the UK this evening. There is nothing we can do but we take solace in the fact that he lived well. The proper announcement will be done later,”

The traditional ruler’s account was corroborated by another monarch, who explained that the Ooni was indeed flown out of the country five days ago in an air ambulance after he slumped.

A call to the line of the monarch was not answered.

There had been fears over the health of the first class monarch since 2013 when he was taken out of the country for medical attention for over a month.

Oba Sijuwade ascended the throne in December 1980.

Born on January 1, 1930, Sijuwade became the fiftieth ruler of the ancient kingdom of Ife, popularly referred to as the cradle and source of the Yoruba, in 1980.

Though he took the name Alayeluwa Olubuse II upon his installation, he dropped “Alayeluwa” from his name a few years back, saying that only God is fit to be called “Alayeluwa.”

Alayeluwa means omniscience.

A former commissioner and indigene of Ife, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, “It is true. I was with him on Wednesday. Last Thursday when we held the political summit in Ife, he supported us and sent an emissary to the summit. He slumped on Thursday and was rushed to Ibadan airport from where he was flown to Lagos in an air ambulance en route to England for treatment. He became stable by Saturday. It is sad that he relapsed and passed on.”

The flamboyant traditional ruler was crowned king on December 6, 1980 in a colourful ceremony attended by prominent traditional rulers the Emir of Kano, Oba of Benin, Amayanabo of Opobo and the Olu of Warri as well as the representatives of the Queen of England.

It was gathered that the Ife traditional council and the Osun State traditional council would meet on Wednesday.

A competent source disclosed that emissaries from the two councils would visit the Governor of Osun, Rauf Aregbesola, to officially break the news to the governor.

Sijuwade was born to the Ogboru ruling house. The handsome king was a grandson of the Ooni Sijuwade Adelekan Olubuse I. He studied at the Abeokuta Grammar School and Oduduwa College in Ile-Ife.

He worked for three years in his father’s business and later did a two-year stint with the Nigerian Tribune, before attending the Northampton College in the United Kingdom to study Business Management.

At the young age of 30, he became a manager in Leventis, a Greek-Nigerian conglomerate. In 1963, he became the Sales Director of the state-owned National Motors in Lagos. After spotting a business opportunity during a 1964 visit to the Soviet Union, he formed a company to distribute Soviet-built vehicles and equipment in Nigeria. This later became the nucleus of his widespread business empire. He also invested in real estate in his home town of Ile-Ife. By the time Sijuwade was crowned Ooni in 1980 he had become a wealthy man, whose fame and connection was global.

When Sijuwade became the Ooni, he inherited an ongoing dispute over supremacy between the obas of Yorubaland. In 1967 the crisis had been resolved when the late Yoruba sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, was chosen as the leader of the Yoruba. In 1976, the Governor of Oyo State, General David Jemibewon, had decreed that the Ooni of Ife would be the permanent chairman of the State Council of Obas and Chiefs. Other Obas led by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, said the position should rotate. The dispute calmed down when Osun State was carved out of Oyo State in August 1991, but still persisted. In January 2009, Sijuwade was quoted as saying that Oba Adeyemi was ruling a dead empire (the Oyo Empire, which collapsed in 1793). Adeyemi responded by citing “absurdities” in Sijuwade’s statements and saying the Ooni “is not in tune with his own history”.

It will be recalled that Oba Adeyemi, the Permanent Chairman of the Oyo State Council of Obas and Chiefs, was conspicuously absent from a meeting of Yoruba leaders in April 2010.

In February 2009, Sijuwade helped mediate in a dispute over land ownership between the communities of Ife and Modakeke, resolved in part through the elevation of the Ogunsua of Modakeke as an Oba.

In August 2010 he mediated in the ownership dispute between Oyo and Osun states concerning Ladoke Akintola University, calling a meeting attended by Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, governor of Osun State, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, governor of Oyo State and the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Education which resulted in an action plan.

Doctor Warns KISSING is the Leading Cause of Head and Neck Cancers.... Hmmmmmm

Is nothing sacred?

A top Australian doctor has warned that kissing has overtaken smoking and drinking to become the primary risk factor for developing head and neck cancers.

But how can this be?

Well Dr Mahiban Thomas, who is head of maxillofacial and head and neck surgery at the Royal Darwin hospital, warned that kissing (and just to be clear, we’re talking about full-on snogging rather than a peck on the cheek) can pass on HPV (human papilloma virus) – a family of viruses which can lead to cancer.

In fact, Dr Thomas explained that, according to studies coming out of America, around 70 per cent of head and neck cancers are due to HPV.

HPV’s link to cancer is well known, but it is usually associated with cervical cancer. In the UK, all girls aged 12-13 are offered a vaccine against it for this reason.

But why the sudden rise?

Well, according to Dr Thomas, this is due to changing attitudes.

He told NT News: ‘There is an attitude, particularly in our younger generations, that oral sex is safe because you can’t get pregnant.

‘High-risk behaviours are oral sex, multiple kissing partners, and more recently there are reports even “petting” can lead to infection.

‘If someone has kissed in excess of six people their risk of contracting HPV is higher, or if someone has kissed in excess of nine people the risk is significantly higher again.’

It really does make for pretty grim reading.

20 Months Baby Stolen at Naming Ceremony in Ogun

A 20 month old child, Opeyemi Ogundele was reported stolen on Sunday during a naming ceremony in Abeokuta.

The incident happened at Mile 2, Iyana Concord, Akorede Estate, Ilugun Inukosegba Community in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of the state. Community members, however, besieged the residence of one Chief Olasile Ifayemi, a herbalist alleged to be the kidnapper of the child.

Elizabeth Ogundele, 26, mother of the toddler, who narrated her ordeal, said she was getting ready for her niece’s naming ceremony when she discovered her son was missing. She said that she had gone to celebrate with her brother, Olusola Osunleke on Sunday when the incident happened.

“I was helping my brother’s wife get ready for the ceremony when I noticed that my son was missing. “I searched for him in and around the house because some tenants said they saw him playing ball, but he was nowhere to be seen.

“I ran outside the house into the community still searching and that was when I encountered two guys at Chief Ifayemi’s house. “I asked if they had seen my son, they denied and started giggling, so I left.’’

Youths in the community vandalised the bungalow belonging to the alleged kidnapper. Different fetish items and human parts were discovered at the scene as angry youths were getting ready to set the bungalow ablaze.

The head of the community could not be reached as at press time as he was not available. The Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, who confirmed the incidence, said that investigations were ongoing.

“Actually a two years old boy was kidnapped yesterday, but the site that was discovered has no relationship with the boy and other human parts that were found at the site. “Already, we have commenced investigation on the matter and we will let you see what really happened when we finish our investigation.

“I want to make it clear to the people of the state that I’m here to work and to reduce crime and criminality to the barest minimum. “We will not allow miscreants to continue to disturb us no matter their intention,” the police chief said.

A Minister in GEJ's Govt Stole $6 Billion - Says Gov. Oshiomole

Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomole has alleged that a minister that served in former president Jonathan's administration stole a whooping $6billion. Governor Oshiomole made the allegation while speaking to state house correspondents after a meeting with President Buhari today.

He said American officials made the alleged fraud known to the Buhari led delegation during the state visit to the US last week.
"PDP destroyed the country. I mean from the lips of American officials; senior officials of the state department. They said one minister under PDP cornered as much as $6billion, and the man said even by Washington standard that is earth-quaking,” he said.

Governor Oshiomole said if not that Nigerians are patient people, anybody who carried the PDP badge would have been stoned. He said PDP members ought to feel very unsafe ...
"We are a very patient people. If we were not a patient people, anybody wearing the tag of PDP ought to feel very unsafe because you are all victims- all of us here,” he said.

Photos: Activists Build an Underground Playground so Syrian Children Can Escape the Brutality of War

Pictured playing on swings, slides and a merry-go-round, these children can be seen enjoying themselves in the same way as any others their age.
Except these photos were not taken of an outdoor playground in the middle of a park.

This is a generation of youngsters growing up amidst an onslaught of shelling in war-torn Syria – and rather than be outside, the children are in fact underground in a subterranean play centre.

It has been built by activists as a way for the youth of Damascus to escape the violence of the country’s bloody civil war.

Constructed in Ghouta, in the eastern part of Syria’s capital, it features an extensive range of play equipment from springers to slides, climbing apparatus to play houses and even a merry-go-round and a sandpit.

The playground also has plants and flowers to give youngsters and their parents the feeling that they are above ground.

Its opening comes as six more people were killed and dozens injured when an airstrike hit the city of Douma in the opposition-held Eastern Ghouta region on Monday.

Flames engulfed a building and several cars when Syrian warplanes struck, and a number of people are understood to have suffered burns.
Since 2013, regime forces have systematically bombarded Eastern Ghouta.

More than 220,000 people have now died in the Syrian conflict, which began with anti-government protests in March 2011 and escalated into a civil war.

In February, 66 people were killed as Syria's regime pounded the rebel stronghold of Douma with air strikes after a barrage of opposition fire hit Damascus.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said 12 children were among those killed.
And two years ago young children and adults suffered horrific burns after being caked in a 'napalm-like' substance when a bomb was dropped on a school playground near the country's capital.
Witnesses said at the time that a fighter jet had repeatedly flown overhead, as if searching for a target, before dropping the bomb.
More than ten pupils were killed and many more left seriously injured after the attack reduced the school playground to rubble.

Those who survived were seen shaking uncontrollably, having suffered burns to more than 50 per cent of their bodies.
Meanwhile, David Cameron also said on Monday that he was ready to order air strikes on Islamist militant targets in Libya and Syria to prevent attacks on the streets of Britain as he stepped up his rhetoric against Islamic State insurgents.

The Prime Minister said: 'If there is a threat to Britain or to our people on our streets ... we are able to stop it by taking immediate action against that threat.
'As prime minister, I would always want to try and take that action, and that's the case whether that problem is emanating from Libya or Syria or anywhere else.'

It emerged earlier this month that Britain is already taking part in US-led air strikes on Islamic State positions in Iraq and Mr Cameron is keen to get parliamentary backing later this year to extend that aerial campaign to Syria.

Bobbi Kristina History of Falling Asleep Wasted in Bathtubs

Bobbi Kristina got extremely drunk the night before her mom died, fell asleep in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel and flooded the room ... and it could be critical evidence in the homicide investigation.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Bobbi was partying with Whitney Houston at the Beverly Hilton bar and got drunk and unruly. Bobbi Kristina went up to her room, drew a bath and fell asleep in the tub ... intoxicated. By the time she woke up there was water everywhere.

Sources tell TMZ, attorney Jose Baez, who reps Bobbi's BF Nick Gordon, knows about the incident and will use it to convince prosecutors Nick did nothing wrong ... that she simply took too many drugs and did the same thing she did at the hotel with fatal results.

We've also learned the night Whitney Houston was found dead in her tub, Bobbi Kristina was rushed to the hospital for acute alcohol poisoning. Whitney's PR team said it was for exhaustion, but law enforcement tells us it was excessive alcohol consumption.
It's relevant especially in light of the Medical Examiner's preliminary autopsy report, which reveals no obvious evidence of foul play.

I Won’t Make Persons Who Lack Integrity Ministers - Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday said he would not make compromised citizens and ‘hostages’ ministers.

“We will try as much as possible
to avoid appointing hostages; by this, I mean people who have been in the system but compromised their personal and professional integrity, Buhari said on Monday in a live programme, Good Morning Nigeria, on the Nigerian Television Authority.

He said he needed decent, patriotic and hard-working technocrats as well as politicians to work with him in order to achieve his dream of repositioning the country.

He said the worst thing that could happen to his administration was to get compromised persons to be in charge of institutions, adding that such people would be ineffective and unpatriotic.
The President said, “From what I have seen so far, we need very patriotic Nigerians (to be ministers); Nigerians that can work very hard with knowledgeable experience; committed Nigerians to be in charge of ministries.

“A lot of institutions in Nigeria are compromised, everybody for himself and God for all of us. It is most unfortunate. We have people, educated and experienced people, but everybody seems to be working for himself on how much they could get away with as soon as possible.

“We have to look for technocrats and politicians. We have to look out for decent people in this class to give them the responsibility of being in charge of ministries and important parastatals.
“It is taking so much time (to appoint ministers) because a number of knowledgeable people have been compromised. They have been compromised by people who will like to depend on them to damage our economy and security; a lot of them have been compromised.

“The worst thing that I think can happen is to get a compromised person to be in charge of institutions. There is no way he could be efficient or patriotic. Somebody behind the scene will be manipulating him at the expense of the nation.
“This is what we are trying to avoid and I assure you that so much damage has been done to Nigeria. We cannot rush to give this responsibility to people that have unfortunately been compromised.

“This is because there is no way you can effectively supervise, let’s say 20 ministries, you have to give it to people you trust and you allow them to perform according to the Constitution of the country. If you appoint compromised people, then we will be back to square one and Nigeria will be the loser.”

Bobbi Kristina's Body Showed 'No Significant Injuries', Say Autopsy Results

BOBBI Kristina Brown's autopsy has not shown any "significant injuries" or revealed a cause of death.

The 22-year-old tragically passed away yesterday after nearly six months in a coma.

According to a release from the Fulton County district attorney, the initial portion of her autopsy did not reveal any obvious cause of death, and showed no significant injuries to Bobbi's body.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner said that no cause of death would be determined until all tests are completed and "all investigative, medical, and other documentary records are received and thoroughly reviewed" – a process expected to take several weeks.

This comes after it was reported that Bobbi's death would be the subject of a homicide investigation, with her boyfriend Nick Gordon remaining as a person of interest in the case.

Bobbi, the only daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, was found unresponsive in a bathtub on January 31.
She was reported to have been found with injuries on her face and mouth.

Singer Rita Ora at the Centre of Drug Scandal

X FACTOR judge Rita Ora has found herself at the centre of a drugs scandal after being pictured enjoying dinner with her friends – accompanied by an apparent bag of weed.

The Poison singer was celebrating a friend's birthday along with TOWIE wannabe Vas Morgan when the questionable snap was taken.
In the pic Rita appears carefree and happy despite splitting with boyfriend Ricky Hilfiger just days earlier.

The move comes as Calvin Harris, another of Rita's exes, declared his love for Talyor Swift.
"It's going absolutely fantastic," he said.
"It's boxes I didn't even know existed, she ticks. It's really ridiculous."

While there has been no official confirmation on the contents of the clear bag pictured with Rita and Vas it wouldn't be the first time she has been linked to the drug.
In fact her bad boy ex Rick was found guilty of possessing a pound of marijuana before they hooked up.

While in 2013 Rita and rapper Snoop Dogg posed with a suspicious looking roll-up for “national weed day”.
A rep for Rita Ora and X Factor have been contacted for comment.

Sepp Blatter 'Deserves a Nobel Prize', Says Putin

FIFA president Sepp Blatter deserves a Nobel prize, the Russian president Vladimir Putin said.

The statesman's eyebrow-raising remarks come as the under-fire football's world governing body battles a corruption scandal that has rocked the sport.

Fifa executives were arrested at the end of May and accused of alleged bribery including the decision to award the 2018 World Cup to Russia.

Blatter, a 79-year-old Swiss, has denied any wrongdoing and has not charged or summonsed.
But on June 2 Blatter said he will resign after a 17-year reign at the helm.

Blatter and Putin were most recently seen together at Saturday's draw in Saint Petersburg, Russia, for the European qualifying competition of the 2018 World Cup.

Mr Putin said in an interview with Swiss TV: "People like Mr Blatter or the heads of big international sporting federations, or the Olympic Games, deserve special recognition.
"If there is anyone who deserves the Nobel Prize, it's those people.
"We all know the situation developing around Mr Blatter right now.
"I don't want to go into details but I don't believe a word about him being involved in corruption personally."

It is not clear which of the Nobel Prizes Putin thinks Blatter deserves since they are only awarded in the following categories: physics, chemistry, medicine, literature, peace, economic sciences.
Whistleblower Chuck Blazer, a former Fifa executive, said in explosive testimony that he and two others accepted six-figure bribes to vote for South Africa to host the 2010 World Cup, which the country did.

Putin previously insisted Russia won the 2019 World Cup host vote honestly.
He saud: "If anyone has evidence, let them present it.
"We won in a fair fight and we are going to host the World Cup.

Okonjo-Iweala In Fresh $2.2m Trouble As Ministry Of Health Accuses Her

Officials of Nigeria’s Federal Ministry of Health (FMOH) are questioning how former Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala handled payment of the sum of $2.2 million that was the subject of a dispute between the Health Ministry and a global non-governmental organization called the Global Alliance for Vaccine and Immunization (GAVI).

A letter written by the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Health wondered why Ms. Okonjo-Iweala’s Ministry of Finance rushed to pay the disputed sum to GAVI, a health NGO that had claimed that Nigeria’s health officials had misappropriated the funds between 2011 and 2013.

GAVI had sought the intervention of the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) following disagreements between the NGO and the Federal Ministry of Health, according to a letter written by the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Health, L.N. Awute.
Specifically, GAVI had accused the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency (NPHCDA) of several infractions, including failure to pay taxes, failure to make required payments to UNICEF, and failure to supply promised goods and programs between 2011 and 2013.

In the midst of the dispute, the Federal Ministry of Finance made a $2.2 million payment to GAVI to make up for the supposedly misplaced funds.

However, Mr. Awute claims in his letter, addressed to the EFCC and dated July 15th, that all of the funds were properly accounted for by the NPHCDA. The agency’s own report found receipts, confirmations, and other forms of evidence verifying that the money was in fact appropriately spent. The permanent secretary’s letter to the EFCC stated that the discrepancies between NPHCDA’s and GAVI’s accounting were glaring, but accused GAVI of being “evasive to all requests for reconciliation.”

Mr. Awute wrote that, following GAVI’s insistence that the Ministry of Finance involve the EFCC in the issue, the Ministry of Health was under the impression that the EFCC would seek to harmonize GAVI’s audit report and the response from the NPHCDA. Instead, he disclosed, the Ministry of Finance headed by Ms. Okonjo-Iweala paid the disputed $2.2 million to GAVI “without recourse to the Federal Ministry of Health.”

Mr. Awute surmised, wondering whether the EFCC had concluded its investigation and recommended that the Ministry of Finance pay the full disputed amount to GAVI.
“In the light of the foregoing, I wish to seek your clarifications on the issues raised,” Mr. Awute wrote to the chair of the anti-corruption agency.

“At first, I did not want to succumb to the temptation but it kept coming. When I woke up this morning (Monday), I saw Ibrahim at the back of the house. I told him to escort me to a primary school not too far from the house. The name of the school is Anglican Primary School, Ijanikin.

oe Jackson Hospitalized After Reportedly Suffering Stroke on 87th Birthday

Joe Jackson has been hospitalized after reportedly suffering a stroke, a source tells Us Weekly. The Jackson family patriarch, whose kids include Janet Jackson and the late Michael Jackson, endured the health setback on his 87th birthday while in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Sunday, July 26.

According to TMZ, Jackson was admitted to Albert Einstein Hospital after feeling dizzy and losing his vision. He is still undergoing tests.

Just hours earlier, Janet posted a sweet message to her father. "Wishing my Father, @Joe5Jackson a Happy Birthday," the "No Sleeep" singer, 49, tweeted. "I want to tell the world, I love and honor you."

Joe has reportedly suffered three previous strokes. The former Jackson 5 manager suffered a mild stroke in November 2012. At the time, he complained of having pains in his head and had difficulty standing. He stayed under observation at a Las Vegas hospital.

Woman Shoots Her Attacker, Unknowingly Slays a Serial Killer

A BRAVE woman who shot her attacker with his own gun later found out he was a modern-day Jack the Ripper.

Neal Falls turned up at the woman's home on July 18 after answering an escort ad she put online, and simply told her: "Live or die."
He then pulled a gun out and started strangling her, but she managed to save herself by shooting him dead.
Now investigators are looking into whether the 45-year-old was behind a string of other sex worker killings across the country.
Police said Falls had arrived at the woman's house in Charleston, West Virginia, with a "kill list" and an unusual number of handcuffs.
He also had a car full of weapons and tools – including a shovel, knives, a bulletproof vest, a machete, bleach, trash bags, sledgehammers and axes.

And in his pocket police found a bone-chilling list of potential future victims – all sex workers who advertised on the same website, Backpage.com.

"The stuff that we found is so alarming that we want law enforcement across the country to be aware of it," Lt Steve Cooper of Charleston Police Department said.
As soon as Falls turned up at the home of his latest victim, who was also sex worker, he turned violent.

The woman, who asked not to be identified, said: "I knew he was there to kill me.
"I could tell that he had already done something because he said that he was going to prison for a long time. And that's when I knew he was gonna kill me."
She only had a split-second to take control of the terrifying situation.
"When he strangled me he just wouldn't let me get any air," she said. "I grabbed my rake and when he laid the gun down to get the rake out of my hands, I shot him.
"I just grabbed the gun and shot behind me."
Police said Falls did not have a criminal history. He worked as a security guard in the northwestern state of Oregon and only had minor traffic offences on his driving license.

The horrifying case is similar to the unsolved mystery of Jack the Ripper – the notorious serial killer who murdered prostitutes in Whitechapel, east London, in the late 1880s.
And in the small town of Chillicothe, Ohio – just two hours from Charleston – at least six female sex workers have disappeared in the last year.
Four of their bodies have been discovered dumped in nearby streams and creeks. Police and the FBI are now investigating whether Falls could be responsible for their murders.

But regardless of whether he is connected or not, Lt Cooper said he clearly had violent and disturbing intentions at his latest victim's house.
He said: "He made a deal with the victim to exchange money for her services as an escort.
"He brought no money with him. What he brought with him was a firearm, four sets of handcuffs, and all of the items you have photos of from the trunk of his car.
"So… clearly his intentions were dark."
